Dancing On Ice: Laura Hamilton takes on the American Charleston!
On tonight’s international themed dancing On Ice live show, Laura Hamilton took on America.
The children’s TV presenter tried to capture the style of the Charleston in her routine and included a tricky lift, which is typical to the dance style.
Skating to Upside Down, Laura and Colin looked pretty in pink when they took to the rink. The routine was complicated, quick paced and full of difficult content. The pair did an amazing job and though we thought they were going to lose it during the big lift, things continued, even if they were wobbly for a second or two. We loved it!
Judges Comments:
Jason Gardiner: 8 – Yours at time lacked the bounce in the shoulder we needed to see and the head wiggles I would have liked to see sustained more throughout the routine. But overall, a great fun start to the show.
Emma Bunton: 8.5 – I thought you took the whole persona and vibe of the Charleston on and not being to cheesy with it either. You lost timing a little bit but otherwise a great performance.
Robin Cousins: 8 – Fantastic start to the show. The Charleston is jovial and bouncy and you were both from beginning to end. Everything was very cohesive, brilliant job.
