Lee Sharpe has admitted that he thinks a man should win Dancing On Ice this year as they have a much tougher job than the girls.

He told the Daily Star Sunday, “It is easier for the girls. They just have to concentrate on looking nice and smiling in front of the cameras. They only have to be lifted up by their partners.

“Because they are mostly singers and actresses they are used to acting up in front of the cameras, which helps.”

I would be inclined to agree with Lee and in fact I started a thread over on our forum saying this exact thing. When the required element last week involved skaters skating independently of their partners, most of the girls struggled, while the men excelled. I think Lee has made an excellent point, but I wouldn’t want to be in his shoes when he meets up with the girls later this week.
