Dancing On Ice: OFCOM Investigate Jason Gardiner Insults
Television watchdog OFCOM have revealed that they will be launching an investigation into insults made by Jason Gardiner on last weeks Dancing On Ice TV show.
The body received a number of complaints after Gardiner branded Roxanne pallet a “Cabbage Patch doll” and compared Ellery Hanley to “Mr. Potato Head”.
“We have received a handful of complaints following last Sunday’s show and we will investigate them,” an Ofcom spokesman told the Daily Star.
A Dancing On Ice spokesperson said: “During the Dancing On Ice ’80s special on Sunday, Jason Gardiner gave feedback to a number of the celebrities. In his critique of Roxanne and Ellery, Jason compared them to particular toy characters.
“This was not meant offensively and was intended to be in the spirit of the themed show.”

This is absolutely ridiculous!! Jason Gardener doesn’t say anything that everyone else is thinking.

All reality shows have “baddies”" – if you don’t want critisism from these people then don’t go on the show!
It’s the humour that the “Simon Cowells” of these programmes which are the reason for the high viewing figures

I made a complaint about Jason Gardiner to tv quick mag.I found to call someone as good mannered as Ellery a potato head was vile and hurtful.As for Roxy to call her a cabbage patch doll was awful.She is a very pretty girl and looks nothing like cabbage patch doll.What does how people look to him has anything to do with skating.Now he has started to be offensive to Coleen.We don.t need him get him off the panel and back to whatever he.s supposed to do with his career.Get on Kerry Katona she.s fine and a sweet girl a few problems in her life maybe but that is when we should help her come through not denegate her Patricia
I believe the voting of this weeks dancing on ice was totally wrong – 8th march. I love Coleen as a person, but it is absolutely ridiculous that very good skaters are leaving because of her popularity. It is now the semi-final and should be on talent. I personally feel that the judges should have refused to vote for either Zoe or Jessica in protest of the public making a circus out of people trying very hard to perfect and succeed in their skating. They are making a mockery out of these shows.

Jason’s comments are always accurate and expressed in a way which is designed to show the contestants vividly and professionally precisely where they need to improve. He is the guy my wife and I enjoy and admire most on the show. Pity neither he nor anyone else could save the programme from demeaning itself and the sport of ice dancing by including rubbish contestants like Coleen Nolan and Todd Carty. We watch because we enjoy seeing good ice dancing and appreciate people who make great efforts and take significant risks to learn to do it well.
Oh please, this is ridiculous, have people seriously got nothing better to do with their time or their money to make complaints of such a pathetic nature, do people really get offended by being called a cabbage patch doll or potato head, i normally take offence at words that would be appropriate to use in here!!! People need to get a life and stop over reacting, this world is already a shcking place to live and if Kerry Katona (WTF?)was a judge on the show (not that she knows anything about iceskating or dancing etc, Jason Gardiner has however had a career in the industry and proven track record of coreography, theatre production, i shant continue) i would not be watching one of my most favorite shows ever again, for real Patricia, are you twisted or deluded??? Jason Gardiner along with correct decision that producers have made in the successful line up of judges makes the show as special as it is.
