Dancing On Ice: OFCOM & ITV receive 3,500 about Jason Gardiner’s treatement of Karen Barber
The complaints are flooding in and it has been revealed that ITV have received over 3,000 of them from viewers who took offence at Jason Gardiner’s treatment of Karen Barber on Sunday’s Dancing On Ice show.
Communications watchdog OFCOM has also clocked up 497 complaints, after fans were outraged when the show judge told head coach Karen that her opinion no longer matters, moving her to tears.
However, despite the furore, bosses have revealed that they will not be sacking Jason, probably because he brings them more publicity that all the skating contestants put together.
A spokesperson confirmed: “Jason has been spoken to by producers and that is the end of the matter.”
Although he was able to keep his job, ITV1 executives reportedly didn’t hesitate to reprimand the judge, and told him his behaviour was “completely out of order”.
A ‘Dancing On Ice’ source explained: “Jason was told this sort of behaviour is completely out of order. It’s fine to bitch about contestants, but you can’t slag off people you work with. It might make great TV but ITV has a duty of care to employees.
Jason sparked fury last weekend after telling ice-skating expert Karen, 49 – who was dropped from the judging panel for this series – her opinions didn’t matter as they argued over war hero Johnson Beharry’s performance.
At one point he told her: “If your opinion still mattered you’d be on the panel.”
Close to tears, Karen hit back: “You have said more than enough tonight. You’re a nasty, nasty man, you really are.”

Jason Gardiner should have been sacked right after the show, Sky sports pundits who made commets off camera for inapropriate views were sacked or resigned. ITV should follow the same example , this man is not good to listen to when he slates the skaters the way he does.
Karen Barber knows more about stating than he will ever know “it is a skating competion is it not or is it for ballet moves he keeps going on about lines, toe and sticking out your chest.
ITV do us all a favor and get rid

HE and Emma Bunton bring nothing to the show, unfortunately Dancing on Ice is full of Z listers and im afrais to say is dying….the only thing worht watch is Holly, Phil and Torvil and Dean
