Dancing On Ice: Phillip Schofield Banned From Skating

Dancing On Ice presenter, Phillip Schofield has been banned from ice skating by ITV bosses as they refuse to pay the extortionate insurance costs.
Phillip had recently revealed via Twitter that he was taking skating lessons and many predicted that we would soon see a display of his skills on the ITV primetime TV show.
Phillip recently wrote: “Hmmm, this skating lark is much tougher than it looks. We’re one step closer to me one day delivering that mythical ‘link on ice’.
“Maybe not this series but one day I WILL skate on that famous rink.”
However ITV bosses have put a stop to his antics saying that their insurance doesn’t currently cover presenters and they are refusing to pay extra to include him in the policy.
An insider told The Sun: “It’s a complete deadlock. The bosses want to keep him rinkside doing his day job, but Phil doesn’t want to put in all this effort for nothing.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets his way eventually.” An ITV spokeswoman confirmed: “The whole team are behind Phillip learning to skate. There are no plans for him to skate on the show this series — but never say never.”
