Dancing On Ice Props Week: Sam Attwater and Brianne Delcourt to skate with a hat, a stool and a microphone stand
Dancing On Ice takes a new twist tonight, as each of the remaining celebrities are asked to incorporate some props into their routines.
In previous years, stars have been required to skate with one item – last year’s show winner Hayley Tamaddon and her partner Daniel Whiston used an umbrella – however tonight the contestants will be performing with two to three props.
Hayley Tamaddon revealed on This Morning that some of the stars are struggling to keep the level of their skating up, while trying to use items like tables, chairs, canes and hats. She also revealed that Sam Attwater and Brianne Delcourt are hoping to pull off a brand new and very adventurous lift as part of their performance.
On tonight’s live show, former front runners Sam and Brianne will take to the rink with a stool, a trilby hat and a microphone stand.
Jeff Brazier and his stunning partner Isabelle Gauthier will skate with a table and two chairs and as if that isn’t bad enough, the TV presenter will be attempting a dangerous float spin that they have struggled with in rehearsals.
Chloe Madely will have to incorporate a skipping ropes and a hula hoop and speaking to The Daily Star she admitted:
“I have so many bruises on me I look like a battered wife! Now I have to skip on the ice which is incredibly scary. It could all end in tears as it’s pretty dangerous.”
Johnson Beharry, who is favourite to go tonight will perform with a hat and an umbrella, while Laura Hamilton has a cane and a chair.
Former Olympic champion and show mentor Christopher Dean admitted:
“In Props Week anything can happen. It just takes one little slip and then you end up spending the whole of the routine just trying to recover.”
