Dancing On Ice contestant Ray Quinn has revealed that he is terrified of hurting his partner Maria Filippov during tonight’s routine.

Ray and Maria are about to tackle one of their most daring routines yet and have taken some very hard falls during training. Yesterday Ray landed on top of Maria causing her to nag her head off the ice.

He told The Daily Star: “It’s definitely the most physical routine yet.

“And it’s worrying for me when I hurt Maria because she’s so amazing at what she does.

“It’s a real test of our relationship, the way we move together. If I put a foot wrong I’m stepping on her feet.

“She’s putting all her trust in me. I’ve got blades under my feet, not teddy bears, you know.”

Coach Christopher Dean said: “This week he’s got a rock and roll number – it’s very fast and when you’ve got a routine that quick you’ve got to watch each other and make sure no one gets hurt.”

An insider said: “Ray has been so good up to now so the pressure is on for him to really push himself.”
