Dancing On Ice Results: Denise Welch leaves!
Denise Welch has become the latest celebrity to be eliminated from Dancing On Ice.
The Loose Women star has been consistently lingering at the bottom of the judges leaderboard for the last few weeks, yet tonight, after she had her score doubled and ended up in third place, she landed in the bottom two alongside war hero Johnson Beharry.
Upon hearing the skate-off participants, we knew immediately that Welch would leave, after all her husband did her no favours by ranting at judge Jason Gardiner earlier in the evening. Tim Healy may have been defending his beloved wife, but somehow we doubt that the acid tongued judge cared.
Denise started off the skate off and gave her emotional routine to Heart’s ‘Alone’ a second try. It has actually been one of her better performances in recent weeks, however, she still had difficulty getting in and out of lifts and showed little speed on the ice.
Johnson was next up and he gave his routine to ‘You Are So Beautiful’ another go. Earlier in the evening Jason Gardiner said his performance was ‘smooth’ and ‘beautiful’ and it was both of those things the second time round. It was fitting that Beharry ended up in the bottom two tonight….he is definitely one of the weaker skaters left on the show, however not quite as weak as Denise.
After he skated Johnson told Phillip Schofield:
I feel great, I feel fine, I’m having lots of fun. It’s out of my hands, I did my job.
The judges deliberated and finally all three unanimously decided to save Johnson.
On hearing the news Denise admitted:
“Thank you to Chris and Jayne, thank you to the best bunch of pals anybody could have had to see us through this and all my supporters and the public who kept me in until this stage of the competition. I never in a million years thought I would get to this stage. I am knackered, I have had the most wonderful time and I’m going on the tour so you haven’t seen the last of me yet.”

denise deserved to leave. She was the weakest. Tim Healy behaved very badly. After all it is a competition, and if everyones supporters charged up to the judges expressing their disagreement…..where would we be? Both of them are publicity seekers actually.
my lease fav is tonight is laura i thought she would be in the skate off
I kno denise wasn’t the best but the only reason johansen is still in because of his heroicship
What a pity…should have been last week!!
about time she was voted off. should have gone before now. good skaters have been voted off to keep her in. at least the public are now voting for skating ability and not who they like.
Agree with the result tonight and pleased to see the worst 2 skaters in the skate off. Hope it continues this way!
Denise was well liked but definately deserved to go, Johnson has improved so so much but still is not up to the last 4 standard so he should go next week.
Sorry but although i do like Denise, i agree that she should have gone weeks ago. Vanilla Ice went last week and definately didnt deserve to-I think the voting system is unfair towards the good skaters
i think densie did well. as she is the oldest one in the competion. i think johnson should of well instead.
Please can someone stop asking Karen what her opinion is – she is not a panel judge and really just stirs things up because she obviously dislikes Jason.
Please all vote for Laura she is brilliant.
