Dancing On Ice: Stars Jealous Of Ray Quinn
Dancing On Ice contestants are said to be getting more and more infuriated with Ray Quinn and his smug behaviour.
Ray has been top of the leader board on the show from day one, and other competitors feel that he had an unfair advantage because of his dancing background. Many of his fellow skaters also feel that he pretends to be shocked at his success each week.
A show insider told The People: “To say that Ray has rubbed a few celebs up the wrong way is an understatement. They feel his dancing ability has given him an unfair advantage from day one.
“But more importantly they hate the fact that he knows it. Each week, his performance gets stronger and each week viewers see him accepting praise with a shocked look on his face. But some people backstage believe his ’shock’ isn’t real.”
Stars are also said to be upset because ray refuses to socialise with any of them backstage.
A friend of the star insisted: “He gets as nervous as anyone and if his performance isn’t up to scratch, he is very hard on himself backstage. He practises a lot because he wants to win. He often doesn’t socialise with the others because he goes home on his motorbike so can’t drink. But he gets on with everyone.”
An ITV spokesperson added: “There’s a great camaraderie backstage and in the green room with the Dancing On Ice celebrities. While there’s a competitive element to the show and they all want to do their best, they are all supportive of each other.”

Personally I think this is all media hype as the celebrities when they talk are full of admiration for him. As for dancing background being an unfait advantage this should apply to the girls then as most have had dance lessons at some time, Jessica has skated before. The only one left who is a complete novice with no performing arts skills is Donal. I do not believe this story at all.
CAN NOT stand the smarmy BOY…..SO not fair anyway to have him on there with “NON skaters”….Predictable boring ending!!!!!

It IS hard to believe that Ray is not sincere …I think his avid look when listening to the judges comments and his real admiration for Maria and their breathtaking, amazing chemistry was totaly genuine.His respect for her and Torvill and Dean was so obvious, you cannot fake that.
Everyone in a competition, in one way or another has advantages & disadvantages.What is so obvious with Ray is,- he is a perfectionist , – this won’t make him loved by everyone – but it pays off does’nt it?He works incredibly hard and his nuanced & beautifully engaging dance routines on ice were just riveting.When they were on ice -well,-it was intense .Ray is a major talent and people should be glad for him and not be so rediculously negative.He is only young, his vision may not be yours but at least he has one.
