Before the war my father, Bill Davies 1915 - 2007, used to be involved in Ice Shows there. He was a speed skater and did barrel jumping in the show. He went on to represent England at winter games held in Switzerland. He used to take me to Richmond Ice Rink as a child and dash round the rink holding my hand. I never learnt to skate on my own, but loved being hauled round at speed! It would be wonderful to have Richmond Ice Rink back.
