You’d be forgiven for thinking that things might be a little tense between Louie Spence and Jason Gardiner at the minute, after Jason got dropped from the Dancing On Ice judging panel when the show returned last month and his pal waltzed straight in and took his place.

However, Louie has claimed that nothing could be further from the truth.

He insists that despite Gardiner’s claims that he was ‘pushed out’ of the show and did not want to leave, he doesn’t blame Spence for his axing and doesn’t mind that it was his friend that got his job.

In fact the Pineapple Dance Studios star says that he and Jason are still close friends and that his new role hasn’t come between them at all.

During an interview on This Morning, Louie said:

“Jason and I had lunch yesterday and he’s been having a great time.”

He added:

“He is absolutely fine, honestly. Our friendship is much stronger than any TV show!”

“We are great friends and there is no animosity between us, and that’s showbusiness…. jobs come and go.”

Spence claimed that he and Jason have faced times like this before and have always competed for work. He added:

“It’s always been the same; I was in Cats, Jason was in Cats. It’s the same kind of thing.”

“We’re used to this, especially in TV. You’re flavour of the month and then you’re gone. I could be out next year, darling so I’m just making the most of it and I’m having as much fun as I can because I know these things may not last.”

Louie has been a surprise hit on the panel and not nearly as irritating as he has been on other shows before this. As well as his usual flamboyant comments and tendency to fling himself around, the dance expert has actually been offering some very good technical advice and the response to his judging performance, seems much more positive than the critique Emma Bunton got last year.

However, ITV may ultimately regret their decision to let Jason go, as just like the X Factor before it, Dancing On Ice has found itself in a bit of a ratings slump. While they previously enjoyed figures of around 10 million each Sunday night, these days only 7 million tune in each weekend.

In a bid to boost viewing figures, bosses are planning an Olympics themed special in the upcoming weeks, in which Olympic champions and show stars Jayne Torville, Christopher Dean, Katarina Witt and Robin Cousins will all give a special one off performance.

Matthew Wolfenden has reportedly been told that he needs to steer clear of the spray tans, if he wants to keep his day job.

The Emmerdale actor is currently starring on ITV’s Dancing On Ice, where of course it’s almost a legal requirement to be as orange as possible, however producers of the soap feel that a tangoed shop keeper would not fit in particularly well with their storylines, or with the rural based show and have told him that he needs to stay pasty white for filming.

Instead, Matt is now opting for wash on, wash off tans so that he can go from having a healthy glow, to a pasty pallor in a matters of minutes.

A show insider told The Daily Star:

“It would look really odd if one day he’s walking through the village with a tan in the middle of winter.”

Matthew will return to Dancing On Ice this weekend, with a romantic and loved up routine and smoochy music for the Valentines Day themed episode.

He has been a front runner on the show so far, ruling the top of the judges’ leaderboard each week, along with Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter.

However, it has been reported that Matt is still struggling with a previous back injury, which threatened to put him of the ice entirely last week, and insiders say the star is worried that his cut back in rehearsal time, could impact his performance this weekend.

ITV bosses have lined up an amazing treat for all you Dancing On Ice fans, they have managed to talk some of the world biggest legends in the world of ice skating, to take to the rink as part of a special one off show.

It has been claimed that producers had to beg, plead and cajole with show judge Katarina Witt to return to the rink for the first time in four years and as part of the special Olympics themed show, she will be joined on the ice by fellow judge Robin Cousins and of course head coaches Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.

All four stars have picked up Olympic medals during their successful careers. Robin Cousins took a gold medal in the Winter Olympic Games in Lake Placid, New York, in 1980.

Witt won two Olympic gold medals for East Germany, first in the 1984 Sarajevo Olympics and the second in 1988 at the Calgary Olympics.

Torvill and Dean picked up a gold medal for ice dancing at the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics and a bronze at the 1994 Olympics in Lillehammer.

Insiders say that as the stars all competed against one another at various points in the careers, it was tough to get them to agree to a one of performance, however the promise of huge ratings a a return to the spotlight swung it and the experts will all take to the rink together later in the series.

A show source told The Sun: “It sounds like a no-brainer, getting all four to dance, but it wasn’t easy. Jayne and Chris are billed as the show legends so asking their rival Olympic medallist to perform on the same bill was tricky.

“Luckily they have agreed, so we’ve got a belter of a show lined up. Jayne and Chris are spearheading the routine that is likely to see them all dance together.

“It will be great for Katarina to skate as she hasn’t really been on the ice since 2008. Robin is also nervous as he hasn’t been on the ice for years either.”

Jorgie Porter has revealed that men never approach her in bars or try to chat her up.

The Dancing On Ice contestant may be setting the rink alight each Sunday night, with her sexy costumes and saucy routines, however she claims that she is no real life sex symbol, as men very rarely come onto her.

The Hollyoaks actress has been named in FHM’s list of 50 hottest women, but insisted that the image is all in people’s heads, as she told Star magazine:

“Guys don’t talk to me in real life or anything!

“They don’t approach me if we’re out and about, and I certainly don’t get hit on.

“To be honest I’d forgotten about being named one of FHM’s 50 hottest women. It’s amazingly cool, though.”

Jorgie is currently dating her Hollyoaks co-star James Atherton and although she recently confessed that he loves her new toned figure, she revealed that she still has hang ups about her body and has a real problem with her stomach in particular.

She told new! magazine: “My belly is one. People try to tell me that it’s fine but I always think it isn’t.

“I had a barrel belly growing up, with arms and legs sticking out of it. I was chubby as a kid. I was spotty, had a brace and no hair.”

Sounds nice!

Jorgie survived the public vote on Dancing On Ice last Sunday, after a stunning routine and revealing naughty schoolgirl outfit, helped her and professional partner Matt Evers star out of the skate off.

This week, she will be performing to a more slow paced number, as the show takes on a love theme for Valentines Day.

When Brianne Delcourt and Sébastien Foucan started on Dancing On Ice, the judges’ big concern was the fact that they didn’t seem to be gelling as a team.

The freerunning expert was determined to well on the ice, but didn’t seem to be happy taking instruction from, or working in partnership with the Canadian beauty.

Things seemed to have improved and certainly last night, the judges loved their daring routine, however speaking to The Daily Star, Brianne confessed that she and Seb still have their clashes backstage.

The skating champion confessed:

“We are both strong-headed and have strong personalities.

“We’ve certainly had our moments.”

Delcourt also admitted that she has no idea who will win this year’s series of the ITV show, because there are quite a few stars, around the same high standard and achieving similar high scores.

She added: “Last year everyone kind of knew who was going to win but this year it is wide open.”

Last night the judging panel awarded Brianne and Sebastien a whopping score of 21, which was the couples’ their highest of the series so far. After their routine to pop track ‘Fire With Fire’, Katarina Witt raved:

I am completely in love with your spirit, you were a little out of control in your crossovers but you were on fire.

Chico Slimani got a bit of a shock at the Dancing On Ice studios last night, when he was set upon by a mob of one Direction fans.

The singer should be used to screaming fans, after all he did also shoot to fame on ITV talent show The X Factor, however insiders say he was a bit freaked when he was chased down by fans of the handsome young boyband, who were performing on the show last night.

The screaming girls were frantically trying to find Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne, after they performed twice on Dancing On Ice yesterday, however they somehow ended up crashing into Chico’s dressing room after the live show.

“He got a bit of a fright when these teenage girls crashed through his door,” a source told The Daily Star. “Poor Chico thought the screaming girls were lusty fans who were chasing him.

“He was gutted to discover they were after One Direction.

“However, he saw the funny side and the poor girls got escorted out without seeing their idols.”

One Direction were probably the most popular musical act we have ever seen perform on the ice skating series and as they sang their hit songs ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ and ‘One Thing’ last night, fans and audience members showed their support by singing along with every word and screaming as each individual band member got their own solo lines.

One Direction have just returned to the stage on Dancing On Ice to perform for the second time this evening.

Earlier in the night, the X Factor boyband gave a great rendition of their debut hit single ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ (video here) on the ITV ice skating show and the performance set Twitter alight, as thousands of fans got their name trending within seconds.

On the results show, the handsome singers returned, this time to perform their brand new single ‘one Thing.’ The song won’t be formally released until the 12th of February, but last month, after a digital copy became available for download, ‘One Thing’ debuted at number twenty-eight on the UK Singles Chart, with 9,446 copies sold.

Liam Payne opened the tune tonight, however the biggest cheer in the audience came when Harry Styles started to croon and we loved how the audience knew every single word of the sing and loudly joined in throughout.

Louis Tomlinson got quite a reaction as well, not that we’re surprised…he looked quite hot in his tight red trousers.

The boys performance skills have come a long way in the last year and even massively since that dire Red and Black performance last summer. They were tight tonight and their harmonies were fab…not a bad night’s work we’d say!

Corey Feldman has asked his fans to boycott Dancing On Ice, so that bosses will invite him back to the show.

The American star was eliminated from the ITV show last weekend, after finding himself in the skateoff against former Dallas actress Charlene Tilton.

Two out of three judges voted to save the bubbly blonde and last night, the series continued without the Lost Boys star.

However, he hasn’t given up hope of a return and taking to Twitter during Sunday’s pop themed episode, Corey told his followers that they should tune out of the ITV show, in a bid to convince the producers to invite him back.

He told his 18,000 fans:

“If U wanna C me back on DOI that bad u should throw a strike, write to ITV, n tell them U won’t watch unless they bring me back!!! LOL!”

We don’t see it happening somehow!

Meanwhile, maybe Corey is better off out of it as it has been reported that Dancing On Ice bosses have issued a stark warning to the remaining stars of the show, demanding that they stop their late night boozing sessions every Sunday and instead turn in for an early night, leaving them bright and ready for rehearsals on Monday.

It is claimed that they have threatened to axe any celebrities that ignore their new rules.

Dancing On Ice bosses have reportedly sent a memo around all their remaining celebrity contestants, telling them that they need to stop the late night boozing sessions each Sunday night.

Insiders claim that the famous hopefuls are so relieved each weekend, when the live show ends and the pressure lifts for a few hours, that they hit the backstage bar with a vengeance. Often, the party then moves to the residents bar at a nearby Holiday Inn hotel, where a number of the contestants are staying.

It has been reported that a number of the stars are hung over or still under the influence by the time Monday’s rehearsals and press interviews roll around and now the producers have stepped in.

A source told The Sun that bosses have warned that anyone found drinking after midnight on a Sunday, will be dropped from the show. They added:

“If they don’t obey the rules they could be skating off earlier than they thought.”

We can’t imagine stars such as Matthew Wolfenden, Chico or Rosemary Conley taking well to being ordered about like children. Could it be that bosses may have pushed things a bit too far?

Meanwhile, Charlene Tilton became the latest star to be voted off the show last night, after finding herself in the skateoff for the third time, this time against children’s TV presenter Sam Nixon. The judges voted unanimously to save Sam, though we think he should have went just because of his awful wig alone.

On the night where Sam did Wham, Charlene went Gaga and One Direction stole the show, we almost didn’t have the energy for the results show and couldn’t cope with the emotion of yet another elimination.

After all, we don’t think anybody did really badly this evening and whole there was a clear gap between the front runners and the slightly less able, there were no falls, no awful routines and no major mishaps on the rink.

However, more than half way into the ITV results show (yes there was a LOT of filler) Phillip Schofield announced that Sam Nixon and Charlene Tilton received the lowest amount of public votes and would be in the skate off.

Charlene previously named herself ‘Susie Skateoff’ because she has been in this position twice before and tonight, she had to face the judges for the third time. She attacked her routine again and honestly, we loved her funky look tonight. But there was no getting away from the fact that she skated very little on her own and relied very heavily on Matt.

Following Tilton, came Sam and we have an inkling that his problem tonight may not have been the quality of his skating, but rather his awful Wham style mullet and baggy, ill fitting white jeans….they didn’t exactly add to his sex appeal! For his second chance at the pop inspired routine, Sam certainly seemed to have more confidence and put more energy and effort into the performance in our opinion.

After both stars had skated the judges had their say and saying he ‘loved’ Charlene, Louie felt Sam ‘delivered’ and saved Nixon. Robin said Charlene ‘couldn’t compete’ with Sam and also saved Sam. Katarina followed suit and it was unanimous, our resident bubbly American was going home.

On hearing the news, Tilton told host Schofield:

I feel alright and I’ll tell you why, I have had the most amazing experience. I have worked with the best wardrobe and hair and makeup team that I have ever worked with. I have gotten to meet these amazing pro skaters and God love you, you take such good care of us. You keep this thing going, I love all of you, you are amazing! I am in the presence of greatness. Louie I am taking you to LA and you are my new BFF, Robin and Katarina I love you guys.
