Jeremy Sheffield has claimed that being a trained ballet dancer hasn’t helped him to out perform his fellow contestants on ITV’s Dancing On Ice.

Jeremy’s dance training has previously led to roles in music videos for Queen and Natalie Imbruglia. However it hasn’t led to him having a natural aptitude for ice skating he told The Mirror.

The former Holby City star told the newspaper: “People may think that I have an advantage because 20 years ago I was a dancer in the Royal Ballet, but it doesn’t seem to have worked out like that!

“I hoped that too, but it doesn’t seem to be the case.”

He explained: “From the top half, I can waft my arms about, but the bottom half is about skating and I didn’t realise how different it would be. It’s much more difficult than even I thought.”
