Dancing On Ice 2013: Lauren Goodger set for TOWIE return after show?
Current Dancing On Ice star, Lauren Goodger, has hinted that she may return to her Essex roots after the show is over later this year.
Goodger quit hit ITV2 reality show, The Only Way Is Essex, at the end of series 6 last year in order to compete in the hugely popular ice skating show, Dancing On Ice, due to commence tomorrow evening on ITV.
Before Goodger left the show, producers at the Lime Pictures managed reality show had previously enforced a strict ‘no returns’ policy for departing cast members, but said that they would be more forgiving in future in the hope that Goodger should wish to return.
Since then fans of the show have seen original TOWIE boy, Kirk Norcross, who quit the show at the end of series 3 to take part in Channel 5 reality show, Celebrity Big Brother, return as a main cast member and show’s previous main star, and Goodger’s ex, Mark Wright, who quit the show at the end of series 2 to take part in I’m A Celebrity, return last Christmas for a one-off special appearance.
Now Goodger, who had faded into the wall paper of the show somewhat after Wright’s departure, has revealed that, whilst her main priority right now is her progression through Dancing On Ice, she may well be up for a TOWIE return when the show is over for her.
Goodger, who has been partnered with professional skater, Michael Zenezini, commented:
“For now I think I’m moving on and I’m doing my thing and I’m doing this,” she said. “I don’t know, I’ll see what the future holds. Never say never…”
With regards to the support she has received from her former TOWIE family she went on:
“The amount of people that have texted – the producers, all the old cast, they all want to come down, but I’ve only got limited tickets,” she said. “I’ve got so many friends and family I need to alternate the weeks.”
The reality star, who dated Wright for nine years on and off, added that the part of the Dancing On Ice experience she is most looking forward to is the glitz and sparkles of the costumes.
“I could rock it with my Louboutins on,” she said. “I love it, all the glitz, the glam, the hair, the make-up, the tans. This is the best bit for me, being sexy in the little outfits.”
Dancing On Ice returns Tomorrow evening (January 6th) at 6.15pm on ITV1/ITV1 HD, watch the official trailer for the new series in the clip below:
