Dancing on Ice judge, Nicky Slater, told GMTV this week that he could be fired for giving Suzanne Shaw a controversially low score on Sunday’s show.
Nicky defended his frosty comments saying, “It’s ‘Dancing On Ice’, it’s not ‘Lifting On Ice.’”
However, the ice-skating star revealed he could be in hot water after his remarks caused a row among the judges last week.
“There is a bit of an issue here. The skaters are given the choreography of what to do. So in a way, Suzanne is getting caught between me asking for something which is a balanced routine, and what she’s been given. So I might get sacked actually, because I’m actually questioning the balance of the routine. So in a way, I should just talk about what is performed.”

I thought the mark was too low, but sacking is a bit harsh especially after the harsh comments Jason makes week after week. It is true though that the routine is picked for them and perhaps Jane and Chris need to think about this if it is going to affect marks. I did not understand the low marks though as we have seen Suzanne skate on her own so there is not a issue that she cannot, also Bonnie Langford could not skate on her own and most of her routine was lifts and she got high marks by all the judges week after week, now Nicky is marking down because it was all lifts, it did not bother him then as Bonnie hardly skated on her own and if she did it was barely a glide.
Something is definitely wrong tonight when the general public vote to save Greg. When he was the one who should’ve been in the skate off instead of the two girls Zaraah and Linda. I want him gone next week. Please, please do not vote for Greg anymore give him the boot.
What on earth is happening in this programme. It’s the only reality show that we get passionate about because it reflects real dedication and grit on the part of (most of) the talented celebrities that participate. We have seen the graceful Samantha Mumba go out because of the sympathy (or masochistic) vote keeping Aggie in and now we have lost two good skeaters, Steve Backley and Linda Lusardi fall foul of the mischevious vote that just wants to fuel the feud between Jason Gardiner and Greg Rusedsky. Lets face it, Greg is an over opinionated disaster who still managed to avoid the skate-off despite having lashed up his routine by falling over. Come on you lot, take a reality check and see some sense befor its too late and the quality and reputation of this show takes a nose dive. It’s our loss!!!!!
