One Direction caused quite a stir when they appeared in the Dancing On Ice studios.

The teen sensations opened the show with a live performance of their hit single ‘What Makes You Beautiful and let’s just say, the audience was not unresponsive to their handsome good looks and cute, dimpled smiles.

Accompanying the X Factor stars, were the Dancing On Ice team, led by skating legends Torvill and Dean. To mark the special appearance they staged a stunning routine to the music, including all the professional troupe.

At the end the experts were joined by the remaining celebrity contestants and for us, Jennifer Ellison, Matthew Wolfenden and Jorgie Porter really stood out….though at times we have to admit, we may have been staring too much at some of the male pros’ tight bums to pay proper attention.

One Direction will be back later in the show to perform their new single ‘One Thing’ but until then, if you’re having withdrawal symptoms, we have some great new pictures of the boys here as well as a lovely acoustic version of their new track.
