Sébastien Foucan says Dancing On Ice 2012 is more risky than James Bond stunts!
One little known fact about Sébastien Foucan is that he once starred as Mollaka in the 21st James Bond film, Casino Royale. The French star spent three months in the Bahamas filming his role in the movie, however he has claimed that the tricks he is required to learn for ITV’s Dancign On Ice, are just as risky, if not more so than the stunts he performed in the movie.
The parkour and freerunning expert once grappled with Daniel Craig on top of a crane and completed a number of other death defying stunts for the 2006 film, however he said that he is just as likely to be injured while on the ice rink as he was on the movie set.
Foucan told The Sun:
“This is a different field but in terms of risk it is the same.
“I was dealing with heights and cranes on James Bond but here I’m dealing with the surface of ice, which is risky and unpredictable and if you don’t get it right, you can be injured.”
“When I started doing Dancing On Ice I was very worried about the blades because they are so sharp. Now I’m more worried about the ice and how slippery it is.”
Sébastien has performed brilliantly on Dancing On Ice so far and has been praised by the judges for the way he attacks a routine and for his lack of fear or trepidation on the rink. However he claimed that there is one thing that frightens him about performing, he always worries about dropping his partner Brianne Delcourt.
He added:
“I am fearless but I think for all the male celebrities the main fear is we might drop our partners.
“I’m worried all the time. I can fall but to drop my beautiful partner would be a nightmare.”
Seb will return to the ice for his next performance on Dancing On Ice tomorrow night. The episode will be love themed, for Valentines Day and if his recent performances are anything to go by, we think that soon Foucan will be giving frontrunners Jorgie Porter and Matthew Wolfenden a run for their money!
