Vanilla Ice, Jorgie Porter, Ray Quinn, Todd Carty, Chris Fountain, Kyran Bracken returning for Dancing On Ice 2014?
Dancing On Ice has been cancelled and ITV are desperate to make sure it goes off with a bang it has been reported this morning.
Torvill and Dean recently confirmed that they would appear on the final series when it ends in January and for it’s final run, bosses are reportedly bringing back a load of old stars and fan favourites.
Insiders claim that X Factor star Ray Quinn, joke act Todd Carty, Corrie actor Chris Fountain, Rugby champion Kyran Bracken and current winner Beth Tweddle will join US rap star Vanilla Ice and Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter in lacing up their skates once more for the 2014 series.
A DOI source told the newspaper:
“Torvill and Dean said they wanted the final series to be the best, so what better way to treat fans than by bringing back some of their favourites?
“It won’t just be people who’ve won. The idea is to bring people back who made an impression — whether they made a decent fist of it or not.
“Some have gone on to be quite good skaters, so it will be interesting to see if they have what it takes to win.”
It’s said that all the stars are being offered a five figure sum to make their ice skating comeback, as it’s realised that the series needs a huge commitment from each of the contestants.
ITV confirmed that Dancing On Ice was being cancelled when Torvill and Dean announced their departure earlier this year, however it has been claimed that bosses are now rethinking their decision and may continue to run the show without the skating legends depending on how ratings go in January.
