Tonight’s Dancing On Ice required element will really show up the strengths and weaknesses in all the remaining contestants and it showed me that Hayley Tamaddon isn’t actually as good a skater as I had thought.

The stars are required to skate the first 20 seconds of their routine completely unaided and while Hayley was graceful and elegant, she was slightly shaky at times and her solo component seemed very simplistic.

I agreed with judge Nicky when he said:

‘That was precise, poised and the presentation was just beautiful but the skating is slow over the ice. You’re a dancer on ice for me at the minute, you’re not a skater on ice yet.
