Denise Van Outen: Grease Is The Word Is A Cheap Copycat!
Denise Van Outen has spoken to The Sunday Mirror and dismissed her rival ITV show, Grease Is The Word, as a cheap copycat.
“We’re the genuine show. Loads of people on these shows say they’ve got a panel of experts, but we’re the only one that actually has,” Denise told the Sunday Mirror.
“Andrew IS the West End. He’s had so many hits behind him. And of course John, Zoe and Bill have done every show there is. I’ve done five West End shows, but compared to those guys I’m the least qualified. So that puts it into perspective.”
I have to say I do agree with Denise. I thought I would really enjoy Grease Is The Word, I loved the movie and I am not all that familiar with the Joseph musical in comparison. But the show is even more cruel than the X Factor, in fact it IS the X Factor, but with different songs. If ITV aren’t careful they are going to overplay this format and people will tune out altogether.
Maybe things will improve when the live shows air….I hope so!
