Hell’s Kitchen stirred up some powerful emotions in the men last night, as Grant Bovey and Bruce Grobbelaar broke down in tears.

The team were asked to re-create a dish from their childhood that would tell him something about how they grew up. Grant found it hard as he lost both his parents at a young age and finds it difficult to talk about, or remember them.

‘I just find it quite difficult to talk about my Mum and Dad because in the big stuff that’s happened to me in my life, they haven’t been here and I’ve really missed them,’ he explained.

South African Bruce was moved to tears when talking about his decision to cook chicken feet saying:

‘When I cooked that dish this morning it was for the houseboy that brought me up with my mother, he was like a father to me.’

The choice of dish proved to be a huge success though when Marco Pierre White branded him star boy of the task and made him immune from evictions tonight.
