I’d Do Anything judge, Denise Van Outen has surprisingly tipped Ashley Russell as a real contender for the role of Nancy.
“Ashley will be in the final. She’s really good and deserves to go all the way,” Denise told the Daily Record. “She looks right for the role and we’re looking for someone who has a strong character.”
She added: “Ashley would work very well for the male viewers. I love her hair and she’s really good at being real when she’s performing. I hope she holds on to that.”
I wonder if Denise’s pro-Scottish viewpoint has anything to do with the SCOTTISH newspaper she was being interviewed by. She can’t really expect Ashely to win!

I think that it was stupid Niamy being in the singoff with Ashley because Ashley got less votes and she wouldn’t have got thrue, in the singoff with Niamy…!
Although she was not my favourite, Ashley left Niamh standing singing Don’t Cry for Me Argentina. She sang it like a pro whilst Niamh screeched her way through it. It was a clear example of how singing show songs every week would have exposed the pop singers from the M/T singers. As for Ashley’s As Long As He Needs Me - that was the best performance of the whole show. The program has been manipulated from the start to make sure the ‘chosen ones’ get through. As for ALW’s bullying - well that’s another story……..
