Busted’s Matt Willis To Appear In ‘I’m A Celebrity. Get Me Out Of Here’.
Former Busted star Matt Willis is to appear in the next series of ‘I’m A Celebrity. Get Me Out Of Here’.
The 23-year-old - who has battled alcohol addiction and depression - has signed up for the hit show after admitting he has been “lost” since the successful band split in January.
The troubled musician, who recently embarked on a solo career, insists he will cause a stir in the jungle, because he is a “nightmare” to live with.
He said: “I can get very dark sometimes and I don’t handle stress very well.”
Other stars tipped to appear on the hit reality show include ex-’Hollyoaks’
actress Gemma Atkinson, ‘Big Brother 7′ winner Pete Bennett and former Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren.
The new series - presented by long-time hosts Ant and Dec - will air in November.

alcohol and depression a fine combination for a pointless mind game programme. He will be climbing the jungle walls within 5 minutes of his arrival.
can’t see pete doing it he has to many ticks and uncontrollable body movements, when he’s under pressure for him to be safe at doing most tasks that I have seen them doing.His inclusion would just be cruel unless they adapt all the tasks for him.

Yes it is because you are yet another celebrity manic depressive.
No manic depressant is easy to live with, no recovering alcoholic is easy to live with.
Why would anyone want to see someone who is clearly still not recovered, breaking down and crying on a programme which is catergorised as light entertainment.
I dont mind eccentric characters like David Dickinson or Carol Thatcher, but for God sake leave the mentally fragile at home , getting treatment.
If they put this guy on the programme who is admitting his mental fragility before the programme starts, what on earth do they think will happen to him.
Are they also going to ask Frank Bruno, Robin williams, whitney Houston etc, because they are mentally fragile and its a good laugh.
If Paula Yates, Michael hutchison, Kurt Kolbane etc hadnt committed suicide they would have been asking them as well.
If you have to use the mental fragile people to get ratings, then your idea has run its course.
ITV should know better, I would expect it from channel four, but not them.

I really did not like Busted, thats cos I’m to old and they seemed to “american college student preppy”.
But i remember the pictures of matt when he was going into a clinic for treatment, his girlfriend looking distressed and I was shocked by his appearance and behaviour.
Cant the producers just give the money to young matt not to appear on the programme instead.
It hasnt been a year since this young man went down hill and there is now way he’s recovered in a few months.
Or better still if this is what we actually want , why not have a reality TV programme based around mental illness, as it seems to be what so many want to see on the gogglebox.
Producers have millions of ordinary folks and hundreds of celebrities to choose from,
or wont this idea work if we are that blatant.
Im sure Busted fans do not wish to see Matt in dark moods, crying and being stressed.

Didnt that wise man Robbie williams say recently that he would have been no good on a reality Tv programme after he left Take That and all he would be doing was crying.
Either these formats have got predictable or we all have the powere to read a TV producers mind.

I Can’t believe some people are being so harsh about Matt! (i know theres some supporters on here just like me!) He’s not some bloody loony i don’t know why your trying to make him seem like that. He is a fantastic bloke and one of the nicest people you could ever meet (trust me i’ve met him) So back off you horrible people and show him some support, i’m not surprised he’s down sometimes when theres horrible people like you putting him down all the time!

Firstly I liked Busted and even though Charlie was adorable, Matt seemed nice enough.
He has had a few problems hasn’t he and has said unpleasant things about people. I am not sure the jungle is the best place for him, but only time will tell.
I will stay completely neutral and make my mind up when the programme starts. He has only himself to blame if it all backfires. But I don’t understand why people have to hate others. He might surprise everyone and find himself. Other contestants have become better people because of this show.

There were a lot of harsh words spoken about Matt on this thread.
He has proved what a lovely guy he is and the papers just write rubbish which unfortunately too many people believe.
Anyway I am so glad he won and I am sure he has won a lot of people over. Even my Dad’s a fan of him and that is really rare.
