Maybe this is why Dannii Minogue and Kris Smith were at loggerheads last month!

Insiders say that the British model has agreed to appear on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity this year, which conveniently for him is filmed in the Australian jungle. Kris is currently living in Oz with the former X Factor judge and their baby son Ethan.

The ITV reality TV show returns to our screens this November and bosses have reportedly offered the hunk a whopping £250,000 to take part. Another factor said to be attracting him to the stint, is the chance to become known in his own right and not just as Dannii Minogue’s other half.

An insider told The Daily Star: “People have seen plenty of photos of Kris but few really know him. He’s always referred to as Dannii’s boyfriend and he thinks doing ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ would be a good chance to show everyone who he really is.

While there is always plenty of ‘eye candy’ for male viewers of the show – remember Myleene Klass in her white bikini? – producers are said to be hoping that the thought of a hunk like Kris in the jungle camp, will bring in more young female viewers.

“He would be great eye candy for the viewers, too,” the insider added.

Imogen Thomas is also rumoured to have signed up for this year’s I’m A Celebrity, though some say she’s taking part in Celebrity Big Brother too, so these rumours could be completely unfounded!
