Former Coronation Street star, Debra Stephenson has turned down the chance to take part in ITV’s I’m A Celebrity reality TV show.

Debra, who played Frankie Baldwin in the soap opera, did consider the offer to go to the jungle, but decided not to do it when she was offered twice as much money to do a panto instead.

Debra’s six-week run as Peter Pan in Nottingham will earn her £150,000, while ITV bosses were offering only £75,000 for her to appear on the reality TV show, according to The Mirror.

A friend of the actress commented: “What a sensible girl! She’s been very shrewd about it all.”
