After Dougie Poynter’s recent stint in rehab, it has been revealed that his fellow McFly members, have stopped drinking also, in order to make his abstinence easier.

The I’m A Celebrity winner went into meltdown last year, after his split from The Saturdays’ singer Frankie Sandford and hit the bottle in a big way. He later sought help and dried out, but in an attempt to help him stay off the booze, Dougie admitted that his pals have all more or less stopped drinking too.

The hunky bassist told The Mirror:

“None of the boys really drink now to help me out. We are all a bit more grown-up now, so the novelty has kind of worn off. In the early days of McFly, we went wild!”

“I’m not missing the booze. I had to give up because I always took it too far. Now I’m clear-headed, I like being hangover-free – I get a lot more achieved.

“Once you get through that barrier at events and nights out, you realise you aren’t getting drunk and it’s fine.”

After Dougie won I’m A Celebrity and Harry Judd triumphed on Strictly Come Dancing, the boys are set to capitalise on their second shot at fame and will embark on a UK wide tour this April.

The tour will consist of 26 dates and in order to rehearse for their upcoming gigs, the band have all joined Harry on the Strictly Come Dancing tour and will fit their practice sessions around his performances.

Mark Wright and Dougie Poynter are reportedly trying to pitch an idea for a TV show, to interested channel bosses.

The I’m A Celebrity stars struck up quite the bromance in the jungle camp of the ITV show last year and are now hoping to front a “a high-energy, fun-packed entertainment” show, according to sources close to the pair.

An insider told The Daily Star that Mark is taking the lead in approaching producers for the series and explained:

“Mark and Doug are itching to land their own TV show, something they can front together as a duo. Mark has loads of ideas and is really serious about trying to get producers to consider them.

“They’re both really active and sporty so a high-energy, fun-packed entertainment show would be ideal. They have a huge fan base, individually and together. Most girls fancy them but they also appeal to men as they’ve got the blokey banter.”

The pair have even picked people to host the show and are said to be keen to get Ant and Dec on board, after striking up a close friendship with the Geordie duo during last year’s IAC series.

“Mark has admitted Ant & Dec are a huge inspiration,” they added.

It was also recently reported that Mark has landed himself his first movie role and will play the love interest of Kelly Brook, in an upcoming British film.

Mark Wright has reportedly bagged himself his first movie role.

The former The Only Way Is Essex star has seen his fortunes rise since he completed his stint on I’m A Celebrity last year and insiders say that after his bit of TV presenting on ITV2′s Take Me Out spinoff, he tried out for a role in a new British gangster film.

Sources say he landed the role, which will see him playing the love interest for Kelly Brook, opposite stars such as Tamer Hassan and Danny Dyer.

A source told The Sun: “Mark is keen to get into acting and Cockney gangster films are right up his street.

“He loves The Business and Football Factory so it’s a dream for him to work with Danny and Tamar.

“Add Kelly into the mix, he’s made up.”

It is expected that Wright will start work on the movie later this year.

As well as his recent presenting role, Mark also acted as a health expert for the ITV Breakfast programme Daybreak for a two week stint from 9 January 2012. He recently revealed that he is also writing his own book, which will give advice on dating and relationships.

Sources say the former nightclub promoter recently made his first million….not bad for a numpty!

Mark Wright is reportedly working on a new book, inspired by his time fronting the ITV2 show, Take Me Out: The Gossip.

The Only Way Is Essex star and I’m A Celebrity runner up is a known ladies man and will now pen a book based around dating, how to find the perfect partner and how to stay in a successful relationship.

A source told The Sun that Mark has been inundated with offers since finishing on I’m A Celeb and explained:

‘There’s been a lot of interest in Mark and he’s open to all offers.’

‘He fancies himself as a younger, more attractive version of Hugh Grant. He’s definitely got the charm and a penchant for the ladies.’

Mark left Towie last eyar and won’t be in it’s upcoming fourth series. However, despite being known as a lothario through and through, the hunk has vowed to stay single for the time being and concentrate on his career right now.

He said: ‘Take Me Out girls may be looking for Mr. Right – but it’s not Mark Wright.

‘I’m single but there is no way I am dating anyone from the show. I’m working and I am too professional. It’s not happening.’

During the ceremony on London’s O2 Arena, it was announced that the hit ITV series was up against The Only Way Is Essex, Come Dine With Me and The Apprentice in it’s category and it was hardly a shock when Ant and Dec triumphed again, having earlier won the gong for ‘Best Entertainment Presenter.’

Recent winner Dougie Poynter, along with contestants Fatima Whitbread, Mark Wright and Antony Cotton joined the duo on the stage to accept the trophy from new The Voice UK judge Will.i.am and Ant ranted:

Thank you, this is fantastic. Thank you very much indeed! We didn’t think we’d get this one at all.

Thank you to a fantastic team that work on the show and have done since year dot.

Dec added:

It’s such a punishing schedule out there and everyone sacrifices a lot. Our team, the Australian crew and of course all of the celebrities but no one sacrifices quite as much as the male kangaroo population of Australia. They really keep the show going.

We were also treated to a little bum shake by Dermot O’Leary shaking his ass again on the X Factor!

We enjoyed laughing at some of the red carpet fashions too. Tulisa Contostavlos in particular looked ridiculous in a pink, feathery, flamingo type strapless dress. We have no idea what she was thinking! She also went overboard with the tan – have a look at all the photos on StyleJacking.

The TOWIE girls were a little better. Sam Faiers channelled Hollywood chic in a sparkly silver number that clung to every curve. Jessica Wright also wore a figure hugging number, backless and black lace, while Lauren Pope looked fantastic in a grey lace sexy dress that was like a second skin.

The absolute, worst look was sported by the girls from Little Mix. The X Factor winners looked awful in a mixture of outfits that would not look out of place in a charity shop. Have a look at the photos.

Elle Macpherson, on the other hand, looked amazing and showed those girls from Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model a thing or two in her black sparkly Tom Ford dress.

Carol Vorderman was a little less elegant in a dress that required significant scaffolding to hold her boobs up!

Popstar and jungle king Dougie Poynter loved his time on I’m A Celeb and got especially close with a certain someone. Speaking about his close relationship with Mark Wright, the McFly star told The Sun’s TV Buzz:

“Everyone was really lovely, and of course everyone was joking about my ‘bromance’ with Mark Wright, weirdly we didn’t talk about girls much there – if you’re hungry your libido falls out your pants.”

But even though he was tight-lipped about girls, Dougie did talk about his rehab experience:

“I didn’t mean to talk about it but I’m glad I did, it got rid of a lot of inner demons: I’m not ashamed of it,” he explained.

Dougie admitted the hardest thing about the show was being away from his girlfriend Lara Carew-Jones.

“We met about six months ago when I commissioned her to do a painting for me, we were meant to meet for an hour and eight hours later we were still chatting,” he added.

Dougie also revealed the truth behind the marriage rumours saying:

“There’s a rumour we’re getting married and I’m not sure where that came from. Of course I’d like to get married in the future. Will I marry Lara? Definitely. I’d quite like a Star Wars-themed wedding.”

Not only was Dougie the king of the jungle, his McFly bandmate Harry Judd was named king of Strictly Come Dancing. Dougie teased, “Harry and I were joking about both doing reality shows and I pointed out that I had to eat a penis, whereas all he had to do is dance around in sequins.” Both are hoping to win awards at the National Television awards, and they will certainly celebrate in style if they win: “Every time McFly win something we strip naked and post a picture, so maybe I’ll mix it up and Tweet a picture of me fully clothed.”

Fatima Whitbread has landed herself a new job and will reportedly now join the This Morning team.

The former Olympic medal winner shit back to fame recently during ITV’s I’m A Celebrity….Get Me Out Of Here, on which she impressed viewers with her grit and determination during trials and challenges.

Now it is claimed that she will become the new version of Mr Motivator, as she takes part in regular fitness slots on ITV’s This Morning.

The mum of one will take part in a 12 week programme along with Dr Chris Steele and Amanda Hamilton and the team will take four obses viewers under their win and try to help them lose weight and get fit.

A show source told The Mirror: “Fatima has 12 weeks to help the overweight This Morning fans – and the hope is people at home will join in. It could lead to a whole new career. Producers have already dubbed her Mrs Motivator.”

This Morning’s editor Adam Vandermark added: “Fatima showed us her steely toughness on I’m A Celebrity, so she is the ideal person to get our four overweight viewers back into shape.”
