The I’m A Celebrity experience isn’t just a hardship for those appearing on the show, life isn’t easy for the presenters or crew either. The Sun has revealed that staff on the show are being bitten by giant ants and show medic Dr Bob has been inundated with pleas for creams and lotions to counter the bites.

A show source told The Sun: “Every year there is something from the insect world that causes bother.

“These ants are huge and take a bite out of you just to see what you taste like.

“They are coming into the studio areas looking for food. We’ve been told to be tidier and not leave sweet wrappers or Coke cans around.

“Some people’s legs are covered in big red blotches. It’s horrid.”
