I’m A Celeb 2012: Eric Bristow’s son hits out at ‘game playing’ Helen Flanagan!
It would seem that Eric Bristow’s son is a chip off the old block as he has declared he thinks Helen Flanagan was playing a game on this year’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out OF Here.
Fans of the hit ITV1 reality show will know how Coronation Street star, Helen, left the jungle last night after being in the bottom two with Made In Chelsea star Hugo Taylor, 16 days after entering the jungle.
During her time on the jungle, Helen, who played Dozy-Rosie Webster on the award-winning ITV1 soap, claimed to be frightened of just about everything and left her camp mates starving after failing to complete, or even attempt on some occasions, the bush tucker trials the general public kept voting her to do to win meals for camp.
Five trials went by without a single scrap of food being won for her campmates, but then on the sixth she suddenly decided to give it ago and came home with 12 stars, the maximum amount to feed everyone that night.
Since that trial it was down to the camp to nominate people to take part in the trials whilst the public used their votes to keep their favourite celebrities in, and Helen’s fears seemed to have completely disappeared over night.
Now that she has left the jungle, the son of her former camp mate, darts champ Eric Bristow, claims that Helen was not scared at all, but simply playing a game.
Speaking to the Sun newspaper, 19-year old James Bristow said: “Helen is annoying and is clearly playing a game to get viewers onside.
“I don’t think anyone was fooled by her over-dramatic reactions to the trials.
“The aim was clearly to pretend she couldn’t deal with any of this stuff and then turn it around, winning people over. But I’d rather watch someone who is genuine – like my dad.”
