I’m A Celebrity 2012: Nadine Dorries was “absolutely livid to have been voted out first!”

Tory MP Nadine Dorries was of course the first of the contestants to be voted off this year’s I’m A Celebrity, and apparently, she was not a happy ex-camper about it.

A show source said of her fury over being voted off, “She was clearly absolutely livid to have been voted out first.”

The onlooker added that after her post-elimination interview with hosts Ant and Dec, Nadine had to be “escorted back” to pose for photographers after she angrily stomped off and refused to stop for the snaps.

TV Biz adds, “She later snarled at snappers who asked to take her picture at the five-star Palazzo Hotel, where she is due to stay until the series ends.”

And it seems she’s had to face the wrath of some of her Bedfordshire constituents since she left the show…

She told the paper, “Some of the emails and stuff I’ve seen states I’m not there for my constituents.

“Well, I worked until the second I left and all through summer recess. I only had four days away when other MPs were abroad for four or five weeks at a time.

“I did my surgeries right up until the minute I left. So it’s interesting, some of the flak thrown at me.”

And as we reported recently, it seems that Nadine may be about to eschew a life in politics to pursue a career in TV, having listed herself on a resumé as a “TV personality”.

In addition, during her interview with Ant and Dec, Nadine said that being on the show had taught her how to “laugh again,” adding, “I was laughing at something and I kind of stopped myself short and thought, ‘I haven’t laughed like this for years’.

“And I realised the day I went in to politics was the day that I stopped laughing.”

Really Nadine? You didn’t so much as titter once on the way to the bank with your I’m A Celeb cheque and/or have a chuckle about your parliamentary expenses reimbursements?

Anyway, here’s a reminder of her exit from the jungle earlier this week…
