I’m A Celebrity 2013: Steve Davis’ girlfriend Jeannie Nash insists, “Steve deserves as much air time as everyone else!”
I’m A Celebrity viewers haven’t really seen a great deal of snooker legend Steve ‘Very interesting’ Davis, given that much of the focus so far has been on The Only Way Is Essex star Joey Essex and his budding romance with model Amy Willerton.
And that’s a situation that Steve’s girlfriend Jeanie Nash wants to see change, and for the record, so do I!
I’ve said from the get go that I think Steve’s going to prove to be a very amusing and interesting – despite his ‘boring’ tag – campmate, but as Jeanie pointed out in her chat with the Daily Mirror, it’s really been the Joey and Amy show so far.
After saying, “Give the others more air time,” Jeanie added, “I think Steve is doing really well in the jungle. It looks like he’s loving it in there.
“I’m really proud. We’ve been together for eight years and I miss him dearly, but I want to see how far he can go in the show.
“He’s really embraced jungle life. In fact, I think he wants to stay there…
“You’re seeing the real Steve in the jungle. It’s so nice for everyone to see the nice, funny, loveable, interesting Steve.
“The ‘interesting’ tag that’s been put on Steve doesn’t worry me. I know he’s interesting, so that’s all that matters.
“I’d love to see more of him on the show.
“In fact, I want to ask the producers to give him a trial. He’s up for anything in there, so I think he’d do really well in a trial.
“I think Steve deserves as much air time as everyone else, it would be nice to see more of the people in there other than Joey and Amy.”
As I mentioned above, I have to agree. That said though, I do love Joey and I think Amy’s a very nice girl who’s taken some pretty major stick in there for the ‘crime’ of being attractive, but it’s true that not many of the other campers are getting a look in.
However, back to what Jeanie had to say, and of Steve’s fainting fit recently – you can click here to read about that – she said, “I didn’t hear anything about Steve fainting in the jungle.
“This is the first I’ve heard about it.”
Tuts loudly at Jeanie and tells her to read Unreality TV articles more often. We were on the story like white on rice…
She added, “It’s very worrying if you hear your other half has just fainted. The producers never got in touch or anything.
“He’s very healthy, so I don’t know what happened there.”
Well, as former campmate Hugo Taylor told us recently, meals are often few and far between, and of course there’s the heat to take into consideration too, but evidently, Steve was fine once he’d had a lie down.
But what do you think of the fact that Joey and Amy are featuring so heavily while the others aren’t being given as much airtime?
Let us know, but for now, here’s a look at the show…
