Last night in the I’m A Celebrity camp, resident chef Gino had left to find a celebrity chest when bosses delivered possum to the camp for dinner.

Justin said: “Dame Edna would be scandalized.” Sam didn’t like the look of it and was worried about bones in its tail. But Stuart gallantly cooked and tried to cook the bush tucker as best he could.

“I don’t think it’s the best meal I’ve had,” said Sam while Joe actually returned his meat. Kim said hers was tough. Chef Stuart looked dejected with the criticism but Justin explained, “Please don’t feel disappointed Stuart. It’s a very awkward animal to cook that none of us have ever had before. Don’t be grim about it.”

And Sam added: “We’re not knocking the cooking, we’re knocking the possum. You can’t make a possum into a good meal.”
