George Hamilton has admitted that he left I’m A Celebrity jungle, as he was starting to worry for his health.

George’s girlfriend had begged him not to take part in the show as she worried that it would make him sick. George told The Sun that he began to think she had a point saying:

“I felt so low physically that I wanted to lie down all the time.

“My girlfriend said to me that I shouldn’t do the show. I was weighed today and I lost a stone – but I know everyone is lacking minerals in the jungle.”

George also revealed that he fel on his third day in camp and became frustrated after bosses ruled him out of all future bushtucker trials.

“I usually wore my boots everywhere, but I had some new rubber shoes that I was trying out after my shower.

“I slipped on the rocks and tore a chunk out of my arm. It shook me a little. I thought, ‘Maybe I should’ve listened to the people who said I shouldn’t go on the show.’”

On not taking part in the trials he said: “That bothered me a lot. I thought to myself, ‘Why am I here if I am exempt from all the trials?’ I think the producers saw me slip on the rocks and they wanted to protect themselves as well as protect me.

“It was frustrating. I didn’t come over here to camp out and laugh.”
