I’m A Celebrity: Joe Swash Defends David Van Day

Things really kicked off in the I’m A celebrity jungle last night as Nicolas nerves rose prior to her bushtucker trial. David teased Nicola, which she found less than funny. After she had departed Simon Webbe and Carly Zucker then attacked David for his lack of sensitivity.

He shouted:

“Do you not like her or something?”
David agreed but said: “I would say exactly the same that she doesn’t like me.  There’s obviously a problem.”

Simon continued: “Everyone can have their own snide remarks because it goes back and forth but when it comes to a Trial we’re supposed to be supportive.  You’re facing your fears every time because you don’t know what you’re up against.  What we don’t want is ‘Thank God its not me’.  Deep down you know what you’re doing and that wasn’t called for.”

Joe watched from the sidelines as the group attacked David, and then snapped shouting:

Joe exclaimed: “Mountain out of a molehill.”  “No it’s about respect mate” replied Simon.

“One word he said and she was . . .” replied Joe.

“Before the Trial” snapped back Simon.

But Joe replied: “I said you’re going to get creepy crawlies up your knickers.  It’s going to be disgusting and nobody said anything to me.”

“Thank you Joe” said David.  “Thank you very much for sticking up for me,” he continued as he stood up and pointed at Carly.  “Not everybody feels like this Carly, ok?” he said.

Joe continued: “One word and she’s on to him.  If you said it (Simon) or said it (Carly) or I did it nothing would be wrong because it’s you it’s made a big issue of.”
Joe said in the Bush Telegraph: “He’s sitting down on a bed and they’re sitting round him.  It’s who do they think they are.  If that had been me by now I’d have punched someone in the face.”

“Anything they say they’re ready to jump down their throat.  I don’t like what’s going on.” Joe continued.
