This evening Lucy Pargeter fell at the final hurdle of the I’m a Celebrity journey by being kicked out of the jungle before the grand finale tomorrow evening. However, I reckon the thought of a glass of champagne, a 5* hotel and a real bed will comfort her ever so slightly.
Tomorrow night see’s the finale of I’m a Celebrity 2013 and it has definitely been a tough couple of weeks for the celebrities in there. They’ve battled the elements of rain, wind, sun… I think the only weather they haven’t experienced in snow… but then again, they did have some giant ass hail-stones to contend with.
The actress who plays the role of Chas Dingle in Emmerdale has sparked some controversy this series as she doesn’t exactly mince her words. Getting so far in the competition has surprised some viewers since she’s upset just about everybody in the camp at one point or another. But, as David pointed out this evening, there’s a difference between being strong and being a bitch and Lucy is definitely a strong character.
Upon her exit, she told Ant and Dec: “It was hard. Mentally hard but physically fine. I had a few hard days in there with dealing with people and being away from home”.
Speaking about being competitive, she said: “You know you’re competing against teams but it’s about food. Food is so, so important in there”.
One thing that we have pointed out is that Lucy is a straight talker and she doesn’t mince her words, which sometimes upset a few people in the camp, especially Amy and Rebecca.
“I’m very straight talking and I can be very direct. I didn’t want to offend anyone and I didn’t want to upset anyone down there as we were a little group… You are aware (that you’re on camera) so sometimes you just have to keep it in,” she said about holding her tongue slightly in camp.
Speaking about concealer-gate, Lucy added: “I believe Alfonso. We were all talkig about it, it wasn’t just me. I didn’t know Amy had anything until Rebecca told me and to me, it was all about team work and working together as we were a team in there.
“She had two opportunities to hand it in and I asked her for the chewing gum as I knew she had it. We knew we were going to lose stars and stars mean food… If someone isn’t playing as part of a team, then I get mad”.
When asked who she thinks will win tomorrow evening, Lucy said: “I have no idea. We stopped guessing. Kian is the most genuine person, he is so down to earth”.
If she had to pick one, she said she hopes Kian will win, but it was a difficult choice to make.
You are now voting for your KING of the jungle and the result will be revealed from 9pm tomorrow evening on ITV!
