Last night, Ola Jordan became the third celebrity to be eliminated from the current series of I’m A Celebrity, and we were gutted to see her go. Ola just started to come into her own in the jungle, and we honestly think she could have made it further in the competition if she’d had a bit more air time.
However, in her exit interview with Ant & Dec last night, Ola revealed that it’s not was easy as it looks down there in the jungle. However, she did say that she’d had the best time in the jungle, adding that it had been an “emotional rollercoaster”.
“I always thought, ‘I could do that’ but it’s not as easy as it looks. Just being away from everything – not having your phone, not having contact with anyone. Being in camp, the toilet, the water that we have to boil. The things you don’t see at home. Living on rice and beans is hard. You deal with it. I was quite happy to be there, but it is hard,” she told Ant & Dec.
It goes without saying that this year’s series has seen one of the most harmonious camps we have ever seen on the show. Everyone seems to be getting along just fine. There has been the odd spat between Larry and Martin and Danny and Martin, but that’s about it. It has been a really nice series without all the arguing, bickering, and confrontation we’re used to seeing.
Speaking about the air of calmness in camp this year, Ola said: “I think we have been very lucky. We bonded really quickly. Everyone’s been really nice, just a nice bunch of people together. We all got on really nice, then the other two came in and stirred it up a bit but they acclimatised and they were fine”.
When asked who she would like to win, Ola said that she would love Carol Vorderman to take the crown as she’s going to miss her the most.
I’m A Celebrity continues this evening at 8:30pm on ITV.
