It’s been claimed by a tabloid newspaper today that model Amy Willerton is being “bullied” by some of her fellow celebrity campers, and in particular by Emmerdale actress Lucy Pargeter and Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington!
Apparently, Lucy caused upset when she said to Amy, “What’s it like then [being a model]? Don’t you feel like a piece of meat?”
The Daily Star adds, “Amy tried to defend herself by claiming she wanted to change the beauty industry.”
But Lucy reportedly replied, “Surely you’re self-perpetuating the industry by looking the way you do and entering these things instead of trying to do it by looking a little bit different?”
Amy then remarked, “If I didn’t have my looks then maybe I would have a different career.”
Next, while Rebecca was talking with Matthew Wright, apparently Amy came over and sat between them, prompting Rebecca to remark, “You just pushed me out of the way.”
She then got into talk about how models “put pressure on ordinary girls” to be thin, commenting, “There is too much emphasis on slim women.”
However, Amy responded by saying that she’s considered “curvy” and added, “Sometimes people call me fat.”
Rebecca reportedly later “broke down in tears” as she told EastEnders star Laila Morse, “Amy doesn’t know what it’s like on a day-to-day basis.
“She’s stick-thin, she’s got these push-up bras that make her boobs seem massive.
“To me it’s not to do with her as a person, it’s the image she portrays that girls should be stick-thin and beautiful.”
However, it seems that Amy has herself been on the receiving end of nasty jibes, and of her schooldays, she said, “I was really shy with braces and glasses, and I got bullied.
“When I had the braces taken off and stopped wearing glasses people started treating me very differently.”
Do you think Amy’s being bullied in camp? Let us know, but for now, here’s a look at last night’s show…
