Jordan AKA Katie Price Brands I’m A Celebrity “A Fix”

Glamour model and mother of two Jordan AKA Katie Price, has branded ITV hit reality show “I’m a Celebrity” a fix!

Jordan said: “‘I’m A Celebrity.’ was fixed. They told my mum that I was coming out four days before I did.”

However, Jordan’s mum, Amy, is refusing to comment on her daughter’s accusations,

saying: “I’ve seen what Kate has said and I’m afraid I can’t speak about it.”

An ITV spokeswoman said has vehemently denied Jordan’s claims, saying: “‘I’m A Celebrity. Get Me Out Of Here’ is absolutely not fixed.

“The phone lines are open during the course of the live show and this makes the resulting evictee impossible to predict in advance, as the celebrity with the least votes can and does change right up until the final moment.”

  1. Dyslexic Dawn Blake says:

Fixed is a strong word, as it conjures up extreme rigid behaviour and forward planning. These programmes are not fixed in the true defintion of the word.

The producers of reality programmes can manipulate the vote by what they show and write about you in their press releases. From the response they get from the tabloids and blogs, they can tell which way the audience is going to vote, so fix is the wrong word about many unreality shows. They are manipulated or interfered with by the producer.

I was told two weeks before I went into the Big Brother House by a member of the production team.

“who do you want to bring to the studio when you are evicted in week two”

I remained silent and he added

“um er…Or whenever you are evicted, you have to be evicted some time, the show will eventually end, wont it ? Who do you want to come ?”

I would say these shows are not fixed, but manipulated to go a certain way at the request of the producer as opposed to them being completely rigidly rigged.

If the producers see something working with you and more importantly they like you, they might want the audience to keep you in a bit longer, so they display you in a favourable light. Oppositely, if producers think they can get more phone votes by making you out to be the biggest scum on earth, they can manipulate it that way too. Via their press releases to the tabloids and their editing.

So fix is not the right word, its the word the press like to use, but suggests rigidity in making the decisions, so it’s wrong.

After Big Brother a tabloid reporter said to me

” You cant have asthma, eczema or allergic reactions or any conditions you say you have , because we didnt see you ill and it wasnt written in your biography, arent you just making it up”.

Producers know they have this power of the press and public by what they show and release as many people never scratch the surface of what they see, so producers simply capitalise on it.

Manipulate is a better word than Fix.

Also producers can always deny fixing, but they cant deny manipulating, interfering or purposely intervening or withholding info.

And lastly why did the lovely Jordan take so long to say this?. But at least she did say it in the end, so I have to give the glamour model and working mum credit for not being a coward.
