Producers of ITV’s hit reality tv show ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ are rumoured to be desperate to sign Big Brother winner Pete Bennett and his girlfriend Nikki Grahame for their new series this autumn.
A source told the Daily Star: “They are the biggest starts of the summer and having them on the show is a sure fire ratings winner.
“With his outbursts and her tantrums producers know they are telly gold. They are perfect for the jungle. Pete is a serious bug lover so he’d fit in perfectly.
“And watching Nikki try to scoff a plateful of bugs in a bug tucker trial would be hilarious.�

Nikki would never go for it in a million years,just from the dietary point of view she has absolutely no reserves and cannot afford to lose any more weight, it could actually be quite harmful for her. I think the producers of the show must be insane to even consider her as a contestant. The damage she has already done to her immune system would proably result in her dying from septic shock if she was bitten by a mosquito!
Aside from which her days with Pete are numbered so I doubt whether they’ll even be together when the show starts.
I could see Pete doing it though as he seems very sociable, however they’d be hard pushed to get him to eat anything with a heartbeat as he respects living creatures too much.
Henry Dahling……How do you know he doesn’t eat meat??? last thing i heard was that meat started off as living things and guess what THEY HAD A HEARTBEAT AT ONE POINT. Have you ever heard of the glass being half empty, maybe you should stop accessing these sites if all you can do is criticise people and what do you know about whether they will stay together, that’s something only time will tell….you never know, they might grow old and wrinkly together with lots of little Nikki and Petes running around!!! (oh and as for the education system…. this has been written by people who have gone far in further education)
As far as Nikki is concerned, she isn’t as daft as she makes out she is, theres a lot more to her than what people saw on BB7, and we think she’d make a fantastic I’m a Celebrity contestant PURE ENTERTAINMENT VALUE!!!

I totally agree with Mr James, Pete showed too much respect for flies, moths, bees, ants and rats in the house to consider eating an insect or bug whilst it is still alive. It has nothing to do with vegetarianism, even omnivores can care about animal rights issues and would not wish to see living creatures suffer unneccesarily.
Those who support humane farming techniques and only buy meat which is organic or free range fall into this category.
I also agree that Nikki does not have the physical or nutritional health to withstand the harsh conditions which would be imposed in the Australian bush; she is anorexic - a lifelong condition which at best can be brought under control but never cured, previous contestants have lost kilos in weight and Nikki’s frail frame would not survive any further weight loss without serious problems. She insists on drinking bottled water and in the jungle they had to boil and sieve the stream water before consumption.
But more importantly Nikki lacks the mental capacity to endure such conditions, she is very vulnerable and behaviourally dysfunctional to an alarming degree and those who find mental health problems entertaining are frankly rather sick.If anyone has the slightest genuine affection or regard for Nikki they would not want to witness her nervous breakdown on T.V.
I don’t think she would even consider taking part and will probably stick to the lads mags and glamour jobs from now on which still provide a market for the less discerning customer.
I can’t believe that the producers at Endemol could perceive Pete and Nikki as ‘perfect’ for the jungle, Nikki may be streetwise and opportunistic but she’s just not cut out for it mentally or physically and it would be a non starter. Obviously even if she made it as far as the camp which I very much doubt(for that in itself requires a degree of endurance), she would suffer the same fate as Ms Appleton at the sadistic hands of the viewers and be nominated for practically every trial which she would inevitably fail and they would all go hungry. Her refusal to participate would become predictably boring. Furthermore her laziness would really aggravate the other contestants, in the BB house she rarely cooked, cleaned or washed up so I can’t imagine her fetching wood or participating in any of the routine but essential chores in the jungle. Nikki simply isn’t a team player and would soon be the most unpopular and ostricised one in the camp.
As for Pete he would be very entertaining and I’m sure get on well with the others but he definitely wouldn’t take part in anything that involved eating live creatures or causing their distress, but would certainly be a more realistic contender. I too have my doubts that they’d even be together, as they seem totally unsuited and Pete could do so much better following the injection of confidence which BB provided. I don’t think he’ll have any problems in getting a new girlfriend with whom he’s actually compatible!
go for it nikki and pete i hope they go in the jungle it would be such a laugh they great together.worth putting the tv on for as they are great entertainment i hope they go in the jungle love to see nikkis face when she whats in the jungle and pete will be a great laugh so come on nikki and pete. 8th september 2006
nikki pete should go on coz it would be ace to watch….i luved watching bb7 coz they were on it n petes tourettes was funni nso were nikkis tantrums lol!
even though it would b nice 2 c the both of them back on our screen together. but wat but when one of them gets voted out the other one will b upset remember when nikki got voted of bb first time pete was gutted

i hope pete comes to his senses and as nikki back because i really feel sorry for nikki she is heart broken over pete she thinks the world of pete and he’s got a lovely girl like nikki whats the matter with him they lovely together.lets see them back together again and go in the jungle.

(again - not that i really care) i think that nikki probably would go on just for the sake of the attention that she would be getting off it. thats why she done princess nikki (also for the money - but…). i dunno whether pete would go on. he’s not as much of an attention seeker as nikki so im not sure. and he lyks animals so he might lol. but if nikki says yes, then how will she survive without her precious bottled water???

why dont they put nikki and gyln in the jungel it would be a great laugh seeing gyln and nikki in the jungle because gyln was more fun than pete ever was so give nikki and gyln a chance

Initially the idea of Nikki in the jungle sends alarm bells off in my head. But she is supposed to be out of the country and the moment so there is a chance she could be on it. Maybe she wants to challenge herself and take on her fears and if she succeeds, what an achievement that would be. I am sure she has watched the show many times, and she does love Ant and Dec so who knows. I think alot of people would be behind her and if she can tough it out she could even win. But hey she might well be on holiday and having the time of her life and has no intention of going in the jungle. We will all know in seven days time.
I would like to see Nikki on the show just to prove she could face her fears. She is away so she could be in Australia, we don’t know. The only problem is she could be edited badly again, you know missing the funny and caring side to her nature and just showing her screaming at all the bugs all day long.
When she did the Zoo episode on Princess Nikki I thought she was quite brave with those rats. And she is now really used to all kinds of s**t because of her show, so it might be a walk in the park for her.
If she is on it I will back her all the way.
You can see it already, Pete fans voting for her to do all the trials and Nikki fans voting for her to win.
Probably not a good idea to go but I would vote for her.
I agree they might want to edit her in a negative way because thats what the producers think we want to see. It so isn’t. She is funny and eccentric and she has got alot more to her than some people think.
She probably has no intention of going in the jungle so may be we will see her on Dancing on Ice. She would be good at that.
There is some news about there being a second secret camp in the jungle. I have still got a feeling Nikki will appear on the show. Just got a feeling.
If pete and nikki go in the jungle i wont watch it. I am SOOO sick of them.
