Sheree Murphy Needed Trauma Counselling After Her Rocky Horror!

Sheree Murphy carried out the first live bushtucker trial of the series in which she had to endure maggots, eels, spiders and crocodiles in a bid to collect as many stars as possible.

Despite picking up five stars before giving up, Sheree felt she had let down the rest of the contestants and her family by not being stronger during the challenge.

After the challenge Sheree almost collapsed and needed first aid treatment as well as 90 minutes of trauma counselling. She cried: “I’m so upset. My husband and my mum and my kids – they’ll probably say come home. But I’m not going to.”

She added: “It made a difference that it was live, knowing that people at home were watching you. I know he would have been willing me on but it’s upsetting.

“I was so cold as well. I know it’s not enough food to go around but they can’t blame me for not trying.

“I’m going to have nightmares now.”

Speaking about the trial, she said: “It was just disgusting I wouldn’t want to do it again. My whole body was shaking. I was petrified. I knew it was going to be bad. You know nothing is going to be poisonous but I was frightened these things were going to bite. It was humiliating and I felt stupid.”

Now I don’t mean to be cruel. Obviously Sheree was terrified by her experience, but if she has phobias of heights, insects, snakes and rats why on earth did she agree to take part in this show where all of the above are par for the course? The mind boggles!
