Emma’s Imagination (Emma Gillespie) and The Pictures make Must Be The Music final

Emma’s Imagination (Emma Gillespie) and The Pictures have become the latest acts to win a place in the Must Be The Music final.

Sky Insider revealed on Twitter that Emma’s song ‘This Day had already reached #85 in the iTunes chart, before she’d even performed tonight. At our last check, the quirky tune had edged up to #79. The song impressed the judges as well as the public and after Emma sang, Sharleen enthused:

I honestly think you’ve just written yourself a hit record. It was beautiful, it had so many highs and lows. The little bit of vibrato in your voice sounded good.

Show openers, the London-based band The Pictures were also well received by the judges, after performing their self penned track Tears. The energetic opening number really breathed life into tonight’s episode, and the judges agreed that they’d proven themselves to be original and true performers. Jamie Cullum, who had expressed reservations about the act, changed his mind tonight. He said:

“I said a no in the auditions to you guys because you weren’t original enough. It’s definitely a yes from me tonight! Sometimes you’ve got to come out with a massive attitude and a great song, and you did that.”

Are you happy with the result tonight? Will you be downloading any of the tracks? Leave your comments below…..
