Must Be The Music: Ebony Steel Band disappoint Dizzee Rascal

The 16 strong Ebony Steel Band battled for their place in the final, on tonight’s Must be The Music.

Since starting life in a garden shed 40 years ago, the group have went on to perform all over the world. Part of the Princes’ Trust, the band regularly play in front of the Queen and received her Unsung Heroes Award for the work they do in the community.

Tonight, the group performed their version of Rihanna’s Don’t Stop The Music. While it was undoubtedly a good move putting the cute girls up front, and their instrumental version was bags of fun, the vocals were very weak and the singer suffered from tuning issues. We don’t think they will make the final.

Judges Comments:

Sharleen: It took a bit of time for the audience to realise what song you were doing. The tuning went out at the end, so I don’t think people will download it.

Jamie: I much prefer your version of the song to mine. You bring the party eberywhere you go but do I see it in the final at Wrmbley? No I don’t sorry.

Dizzee: Same thing, it wasn’t as good as the last thing. The singing came in late and then it was a bit off. The playing was good but I don’t know if I can see it at Wembley.
