The 19 year old singer won the reality TV series ‘Over The Rainbow’ in May of last year and also the lead role in the West End production of The Wizard Of Oz.

Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber is to become a US TV star.
The composer – best known for writing musicals such as ‘Cats’ and ‘Evita’ and appearing on stage star search shows ‘Any Dream Will Do’ and ‘Over the Rainbow’ – will say goodbye to British television after getting offers from American network bosses.
The 62-year-old Oscar winner’s first programme will see him look for an unknown to play Dorothy in a new adaptation of ‘The Wizard of Oz’.

Former Over The Rainbow contestant Stephanie Davis may not have won the role of Dorothy on the BBC One show, but the talented teenager has managed to land a part on Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.
Stephanie, 17, was the fifth girl to be eliminated by Andrew Lloyd Webber earlier this year. As she prepared to sing on the show for the final time, Lloyd Webber said:

Charlotte Church will stay living with her ex-boyfriend Gavin Henson, for the sake of their two daughters sources have claimed.
The pair decided to split last week and Gavin has since went on holiday to Benidorm with some of his pals. But when he returns, sources close to the couple suggest that Gavin will move back into their home in Saint Brides Major, Mid Glamorgan, so that he can continue to co-parent his two children, Ruby, two, and one-year-old Dexter.

Veteran actor Sir David Jason has branded reality TV talent shows such as BGT and X Factor as, “voyeuristic and cruel.”
He made his remarks while attending the launch of a new documentary about his life entitled, David Jason: The Show Must Go On.
He said, “You are watching people expose themselves.
“The audience seems to want to see the tears and the failures.”

Over The Rainbow host, Graham Norton, believes tonight’s final is “a two horse race.”
Graham said of tonight’s show, “I think it’s between two. Sophie Evans and Danielle Hope are very young but they’re tough as old boots. It’s too close to call.”
Lauren Samuels remains in the running though, and Graham told The Sun that Andrew Lloyd Webber “loves all three contestants.”

After producing hit shows like Any Dream Will Do, How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria, I’d Do Anything and this year’s Over The Rainbow, it seems that Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber is done with the BBC.
Sources report that the theatre mogul will not be making any more TV shows with the channel, but is instead considering a move across to ITV and the land of Simon Cowell.

Over The Rainbow hopefuls Lauren Samuels is worried that one day her hearing will deteriorate and ruin her singing career.
The 22-year-old was partially deaf as a child and wore two hearing aids until she was 18. Her hearing then drastically improved but her doctors warn it could degenerate again at any time.

Outgoing Over The Rainbow contestant Steph Fearon has admitted that she is glad to have come so far in the show, considering that she was in the bottom two in week one.
Steph was voted off the semi final show last night, after finding herself in the bottom two alongside Lauren Samuels.
