Popstar To Operastar contestant Kym Marsh has admitted that she is greatly helped each Friday night, by an encouraging pep talk from her partner Jamie Lomas.

“Jamie’s very encouraging and always gives me a bit of a pep talk before I perform, because he knows how nervous I get,” Kym told new! magazine.

“But he can’t help me with the actual singing as he’s terrible. He always says if he could sing, he’d be dangerous!”

“My son David was in the audience on Friday for the first time and it was great to have him there – it really feels good to have your family there to support you,” she added.

“My daughter Emily didn’t come as she had a sleepover at a friend’s house and I didn’t want her to miss that. But if I did get to the final, I’d want all my friends and family there!”
