Meatloaf is well known for being a colourful character with a fiery temper to match and after angering ITV bosses by slagging off some of their biggest shows, he has now sparked a feud with one of their top presenters.

As a critic on Popstar To Operastar, Meat offers his opinions on the contestants performances each Friday night. However, he is convinced that Alan, who presents the show, is skipping his comments and prefers to hear from Katherine Jenkins, Laurence Llewellyn Bowen and Rolando Villazon.

Last week, after Alan cut him off mid comment, he scrawled PROTEST on a piece of card and held it above his shead.

A source told The Sun: “It was all the camera crew could do to ensure it wasn’t in shot.

“Meat Loaf seems convinced there is a conspiracy and that Alan is avoiding him.

“But he’s doing what the producers tell him in his earpiece.

“He tells Meat Loaf this but he doesn’t seem to buy it. It makes things very tense.”
