24 Hours With Lee Ryan

24 Hours With…provides an innovative twist on the traditional chat show as celebrity and interviewer spend an intense 24 hours locked in a room together.

The next celebrity to leave their mobile phone and PR advisers at the door is Lee Ryan.

This is a rare insight into the true character of the ex-Blue lothario, as famous for his bedroom antics as his singing, who admits that this is ‘probably the most truthful I’ve ever been’.

Lee opens up about the alter ego he has created for the media as a barrier against negative comments and the mistakes he feels he made in his relationship with former Atomic Kitten, Liz McClarnon.

Lee and host Jamie Campbell hit it off so well that they even collaborate on a song; however this harmony is short lived with Lee branding Jamie a ‘prick’ when he reads the lyrics to a satirical song Jamie has written about Lee’s close friend, Elton John.

Also on the agenda are September 11th, ‘kiss and tells’ and Lee’s conspiracy theories on aliens - although he fears this section may be removed by the government!

Each 24-minute show tells the story of their 24 hours in the hot seat, with a digital clock at the bottom of the screen marking the passing of the day.

24 Hours With…is the absolute opposite of a typical celebrity interview. There’s no hype, just real chat and the chance to really get to know a star.

Campbell doesn’t hold back. He’s a provocative journalist and documentary maker with a disarmingly honest approach and a natural gift for the killer question. Stir in the sensibility of a stand up comedian and you have the perfect ingredients for a chat show like no other.

What emerges from this intense encounter is the absolute opposite of a typical celebrity interview. Intimate conversation rather than chat and the chance to really get to know a star.

Steve-O, Stan Collymore and David Gest will follow in the weekly series.

Monday 25 June 2007 10:00pm - 10:30pm on ITV1.
