Who does Alex Reid think he is kidding? The cage fighting Big Brother star has today confirmed rumours that he ha pulled out of a fight against Tom ‘King’ Watson and blamed his decision on a supposed injury.

Reid and Watson had been due to go head-to-head in a BAMMA (British Association of Mixed Martial Arts) clash on May 15, but Watson announced on his website last night that the event was cancelled.

A statement released by Alex’s spokesperson claimed that Alex sustained a knee injury while training on his Bravo TV show ‘The Fight Of His Life’, in preparation for the fight.

His representative said: “Alex Reid has sustained an injury during the filming of his Bravo Fight Of His Life programme. He has seen numerous doctors and specialists, all advising him to not train at the level required in the lead-up to a fight.

“In light of this, Alex will unfortunately be postponing his fight on May 15 with Tom ‘Kong’ Watson. Alex will be seeing a BAMMA doctor upon his return to further assess the injury and work towards a new date. Alex is gutted to postpone the fight and is looking forward to taking on his competitor.”

So gutted is Alex that he is currently living it up in a sunny resort in Egypt with his wife Katie Price, her son Harvey, her horse trainer Andrew Gould and his family. Yeah Alex…..we feel your pain!
