Alex Reid has defended Katie Price’s parenting skills and insisted that the recent furore over her plastering her two year old daughter in makeup is ‘ just b******s.’

When Katie posted a picture of her daughter Princess on Facebook, in which she was covered in makeup and false eyelashes her ex-husband Pete blasted:

“I’m totally disgusted by it, and I’ve found it very difficult to deal with.

However in his column in Star magazine, Katie’s current husband Alex said: “The accusations that Kate isn’t a good mum because she let Princess try on her false eyelashes and straighten her hair made me feel really angry. It was just b******s.

“What mum doesn’t dress up their little girl?

“Anyway, it wasn’t even dressing up, it was just playing around with make-up.

“Princess was just sat on Kate’s lap and said she wished she could have eyes like mummy, and so they just put false lashes on her for a few minutes.

“It was a joke. It was disappointing that Pete called it “disgusting” in a magazine interview.

“The whole thing ended up being taken totally out of context and it annoyed me because people then started coming out and criticising Kate’s parenting skills.

“But anyone can see that she lives for he rkids. It was very upsetting for us both to hear that stuff – we’re only human after all.

“Anyway, both Kate and I do still want to meet up with Pete at some point and sort everything out.”
