Alex Reid and Katie Price normally court the press and thrive on their pictures appearing in newspapers and magazines on a regular basis. However, things changed yesterday as the pair tried to enter a top London fertility clinic but didn’t want to be snapped by waiting paparazzi.

Katie’s management called in police to deal with the press ‘intrusion’ and sources suggest that Alex lunged at a few of them, unable to control his temper.

A source at the scene told The Daily Star: “Alex seemed to have lost it. He is normally a calm guy but in recent weeks it just seems like things have got to him.

“He doesn’t look like he is dealing with fame at all.”

Last night a spokeswoman for Alex said: “He felt the paparazzi were being very intrusive and were blocking his path. Therefore he called the police.”

Maybe the press should hit back by enacting a blanket ban on all things Jordan….how would they cope if they faced a month with no media coverage at all?
