After weeks, if not months, of not being photographed together, new parents, and former Celebrity Big Brother contestants, Alex Reid and Chantelle Houghton have finally been pictured together, not as glam as you might have imagined, as he was chaperoning her to a dentist appointment!

Houghton gave birth to the couples first child a few weeks ago, taking the headlines away from their car-crash relationship momentarily, and as yet still can’t agree on anything, even a name for the baby!

Before, during and after the pregnancy, Houghton had left their turbulent home to sleep on the floor of her unfurnished flat (we would have thought that she might have at least bought a bed after the first time) as a result of furious rows, mainly about her cross-dressing fiancée’s transvestite antics.

A cease-fire, but not one worthy enough for a photo shoot (OK! does not count) was called as they welcomed thing-a-me-jig (which, by the way, we will copyright if they chose it now) into the world last month, but reports after the happy occasion repeatedly suggest that there is still thunderous trouble in paradise!

However, pictures published in todays Daily Mail newspaper have finally shown a united front from the reality hungry pair, albeit not a happy one, as Reid was papped escorting his better half to a local dentist for emergency work on her must-have veneers!

Despite her partners support, Houghton looked rather self-conscious as she covered her mouth whilst the photos were being taken, looking rather distracted as she left the clinic in what has been her second appointment there in six days.

Speaking about the event in her New! magazine column, Houghton said: “It’s something I’ve planned for a while but obviously you can’t have it done while you’re pregnant.

“While we were in town and my mum was at home looking after the baby, Alex suggested we go to Selfridges for a look around and a celebratory drink.”

Lets hope their quest to name their baby didn’t lead them to study the cocktail menu!
