Former X Factor winner Alexandra Burke has revealed that she would rather see Louis Walsh as a panelist on the American version of the show, than her own mentor Cheryl Cole.

Sources suggested last week that Cheryl was being considered for a judging role on the show, but bosses thought that the public may react better to Irish music manager Louis Walsh.

Alexandra told The Daily Star: “No offence to Cheryl, but I would be so happy if Louis bagged a judging role on the US version when the time comes.”

Burke also added that she would like to see Lady Gaga as a guest judge on the panel of the UK show this year.

She added: “Having GaGa on the panel would be amazing. She’s out of this world, I love her. The buzz she would add to the show would be truly spectacular.”
