All Star Mr And Mrs On ITV!

Phil and Fern get up close and personal with some of the nation’s favourite celebrity couples in a brand new series of All Star Mr & Mrs on ITV1

Cult TV classic Mr & Mrs returns to ITV1 this Spring with All Star Mr & Mrs. The King and Queen of daytime TV, Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton, will be finding out whether some of the nation’s favourite celebrity couples really were made for one another…

In this brand new, eight part series, each episode will see three celebrity couples compete for big cash prizes, for a charity of their choice, plus the all important classic carriage clock!

The show, originally hosted by Derek Batey, will not only see new hosts Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton question celebrities about their relationships, but will also get an insight into their home life as All Star Mr & Mrs takes a trip around each of the couples homes.

Amongst the celebrity couple’s taking part are: Actor Anthony Head and partner Sarah, King Of The Jungle Christopher Biggins and partner Neil, Kerry Katona and husband Mark Croft, and Vic Reeves and Nancy Sorrell. Plus Lembit Opik and Cheeky Girl Gabriela Irimia, Laurence and Jackie Llewelyn Bowen, and Vicky Entwistle and partner Andy Chapman.

As each pair plays, one half will be sent off to the sound proofed booth whilst their other half will be quizzed on their life together. The other half of the couple will then return and be challenged to match their partner’s answers in a bid to win points.

After two rounds the couple with the most points will go on to play for big cash prize of £30,000 for a charity of their choice plus there will be a few more surprises along the way.

Viewers can join Phil and Fern in a celebration of relationships and will get a real insight into the world of celebrity couples as they reveal how similar, or different, they really are! Do celebrities argue over the toilet seat, snoring, nagging, the remote control, being late or leaving wet towels on the floor?

Phillip says: ‘Mr and Mrs is a fantastic format and I’m thrilled that Fern and I have been given the huge responsibility to give it the 2008 treatment. We’ve got a terrific team to work with who’ve managed to secure some stunning (and surprising) guests. Fern and I have a brilliant time on This Morning and The Soap Awards, so it’s exciting to be together on a Saturday night.’

Fern says: ‘It’s an iconic show that I watched as a child. I can’t believe that I’ve been given this opportunity to revive it and I’m really looking forward to it.’

I really like Fern, she is so warm and down to earth and her and Phil always look so relaxed and happy together.

Dear All Star Mr & Mrs

I was watching yesterday programme and would like to make following comments to improve the quality of the show.

First each couple gets to answer four Questions individually. However, answers to these four questions from each couple can be fixed in advance to win the game as results of the way questions are asked. Simply because if a couple for instance pre-agree each other before the game start to say YES to number Two answer for all questions they can easily get four questions correct. They can agree to this methodology in any sequence, as there is no juggling of the order of four answers when put to the second person of the Couple.

Same is true when it comes to the second part of the competition when two questions are asked.

I do hope you would give considerations to this flaw that can be used to manipulate the Game!

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Nihal
